Tancred Vanye

Strange and quite hard to comprehend, Tancred Vanye is one of a kind in the house of Diggumtrap. To be sure he was quite well placed, being a very athletic young man and sporting his own finely toned body, but there are some differences between him and his fellow house members. For one, he has terrible, often violent mood swings. Some say he is bipolar, which is probably true but his family never found out. He also suffers from some kind of memory loss and usually has to write things down in order to remember. He has impressive creative abilities: singing and poetry. He’s always writing, memorizing, or reciting poetry. And as for his singing… well where to begin. His mother was a Veela and his father was a half giant. It’s obvious now where his beauty and singing talent comes from, as well as the reason why he’s tall for his age. He won’t ever get to be as tall as a half giant, but he’ll be a good inches higher than an average man. And that brings up another point: his beauty. Normally male half-Veela are unheard of, as Veela are primarily female, but it’s true, he is one of them. He has pale blonde hair, almost white, and it stands up rather than lies flat. His eyes are bright silver that seem to shine. He has pale, flawless skin, inhumanly pale to the point that it’s almost unreal. Like the Veela, he has gained some of their abilities, though they are very mild and haven’t really fully come to be in him. When angry, he can shoot fire from his hands, but this inner magic drains him considerably and he becomes quite tired very fast afterwards. He can’t quite sprout wings yet, like other Veela can when angry, and many doubt he will be able to. After all, he’s not female. He can be very protective though, and seeing people hurt can throw him into a frenzy very quickly, one with fury enough to match the Veela. This is only a part of Tancred’s entirety, for there are many secrets that he holds that have not quite been discovered.
Vito Azzari

Aged seventeen, Vito is more than eager to begin his life as a full wizard once he graduates Hogwarts. The career he is most keen on pursuing is being a Hit Wizard. Well, perhaps I ought to explain a little more about Vito before I go into all that. Vito Azzari was born in Venice, Italy to a pureblood wizard father and a mudblood mother. A Werewolf Clan killed his mother, and to keep them safe, his father sent Vito and his siblings off to England with their Aunt and Uncle. After much string pulling, his Uncle got him into Platwurds where he has been studying adamantly ever since. Many people thought he must have been misplaced when he was put in Ginglire, for many times he seemed more and more like a Pufflecrack. But no, it soon became obvious Ginglire was the place for him. He is definitely the dictionary definition of courageous. He will face anything challenging and does not back down. Many say he is fearless, but whether that’s true is considerably up for discussion. He can be quite the fun loving type, easily making friends left and right, but as he is the oldest of five, he can often enough take on everyone’s responsibilities and act like a parent. As of late, he has become more adamant in his studies, determined to pass the exams necessary to make him a Hit Wizard. One reason why he wants to be one is to gain the skills and knowledge he needs to hunt down the werewolves who killed his mother. Does he hold a grudge against his father for separating from them? No. Vito knows his father did it for their good, and his father is never out of touch, almost always badgering him with letters and sending gifts to him and his siblings on birthdays and Christmas. His aunt and uncle are very kind to him and his siblings, and he couldn’t ask for a better living situation. He misses his mother terribly though and often wishes he had been able to be there and do something to save her. Vito is quite a handsome young man with tanned skin, spiky black hair, and dark brown eyes. He is an incredible athlete, and quite smart. But despite these traits that might have stuck him in Pufflecrack or Diggumtrap, he’s quite content to be in Ginglire.
Insidious Adair

Insidious was rightly named, for he has a notable reputation for being a twisted, manipulative and crafty young wizard who can prey upon you without you even knowing it till it’s too late. The prestigious, all high and mighty son of the noteworthy Adair family, Insidious, unlike popular belief, does not fit in with his proud family. Coming from a long line of sorcerers and sorceresses, Insidious is expected to be just like them. He is like them, in everything but their beliefs and motives. He inwardly hates his family, all except his brother whom he loves with all his heart. The two of them are bonded together through rejection and spite from both their parents for not following in their footsteps of being right and good. The two sorcerers use mostly dark magic, unlike their family members. Insidious fears for his brother, who seems to be becoming more carefree of his practices, but Insidious will never voice his fears. He has learned to become silent and watchful; a quick learner but not quite a leader. He prefers to do everything on his own, and prefers one-on-one training to a classroom, though he can't exactly have that kind of training in the school, so he deals with it. He doesn't know exactly what his family expects of him, except being good and fighting the dark lord, which he has every intention of doing the opposite. His parents try to direct his life; choosing his classes, choosing his career, always making his choices. He once brought up the fact that he didn't want to be controlled and wanted to choose for himself about what he wanted to be, and he was punished for it. He knows his family is trying to bend and break him to their side, but he won't go down without a fight. He rebels, not outward rioting, but in subtle things; using more dark magic than light, manipulating others, even so much as to follow the Dark Lord himself. He knows it stuns and appalls his family, but it's a small, sweet victory for him in the long run. Insidious hasn’t gone entirely to the dark, so perhaps there is hope for him. He doesn’t look very evil or dark for that matter. He has raven black hair in a somewhat medium-length cut, with swooping bangs that fall into his face and eyes. He has dark gray eyes with pinpricks of blue dancing in the depths. He has pale skin, not horribly so; more of an ivory color than blinding white if you want to compare. He has a black aura of death surrounding him, being one attracted and a user of the dark arts. He is interested in runes, transfiguration, and potions. He doesn't quite know what he will become when he grows up, but he hopes it is something other than the dealings of his domineering family.
Drucilla Fairchild

With skin the color of coffee and eyes the color of chocolate, Drucilla can be quite a rare sight in such a posh place like Platwurds. She was born an raised in the south of England and has quite a pretty British accent. She is of African American descent, as is quite obvious in her skin. She isn’t prejudice against anyone and never feels ashamed or inferior to anyone. She was put in Pufflecrack and is quite satisfied. She certainly fits the bill: an over achiever, always striving to get good grades. She likes to read, write, and draw, but most of all she likes to learn. Drucilla likes long walks in the woods, animals, and discovering new things. She isn’t exactly looking for love, though she definitely wouldn’t mind a boyfriend. She likes to think of herself as clever, as she can come up with solutions to problems pretty quickly. She has an almost photographic memory and knows a wide range of spells which she practices often. She is terribly afraid of spiders and can be a bit nervous around reptiles. Her greatest flaw is that she can sometimes talk to much, especially if it’s about something she knows like a subject in class, and she always tries to be the first to answer a question that the teacher asks. She can go on adventures if put up to it, but she won’t instigate them. She doesn’t like to break the rules and can be considered overcautious, but that’s hardly a flaw. If need be, she is most reliable in a pinch and is very loyal and trustworthy to her friends.
Rufus Boyderan
oxnard citizen - wand & staff shop
![Picture](/uploads/1/4/5/9/14590338/_6716664.jpg)
Occupation:: owner of Boyderan Wands and Staffs
Rufus Boyderan is a fine gentleman of noteworthy stature with messy brown hair and light hazel eyes. He’s generous, kind, and very amiable. He can also prove to be strong and crafty, a formidable opponent in battle. Rufus always knew what he wanted to be, ever since that fateful September morning when his mother took him down Diagon Alley to buy him his supplies for school. He wanted to be a wandmaker. So he studied hard and apprenticed in many places before he finally took upon the profession himself. Now he owns quite a lovely wand shop in Oxnard. He's intelligent and quick witted. He's often very positive and generally happy. He is also described as a bit eccentric, but no one really knows how he behaves to cause such a notion. He is deathly allergic to pineapple, and any pineapple scented things make him very sneezy, so keep it away. He loves little furry animals and children, basically anything cute and cuddly. He's obsessed with chocolate and shoes, and despises turnips and insects. He knows quite a thing or two about spells, and if you're particularily polite, he might just tell you what he knows.
