Robin Turnkey
Robin always played it solo. Soon as he felt old enough, at the ripe old age of nine, he struck out on his own, taking a simple raft, fishing pole, food, and canteen. He's been alone ever since, only picking up the occasional, temporary straggler as he finds them before dumping them off elsewhere. He's become very self-sufficient and is proficient at all sorts of sea-faring skills. Robin is pretty antisocial in general, which doesn't make the loneliness as bad. He often keeps the company of cats and dogs with him, as they are easier to get along with than people. When he is around people, they find him to not be very talkative, a little rude, and badly mannered. But he has a good heart and tries to be nice, which is what ultimately counts. He doesn't like it when people try to change him. They come into his life and tell him to try something else, to find friends or live on some of the bigger rafts like decent people do. He says no. He doesn't want to be tied down by other people. He wants to be free from such silly burdens. The occasional friend is nice, but that's as far as he wants to go.

Mononoke Akayama
Mononoke Akayama, more commonly known by her nickname "Mo", is the younger sister of Akatsuki Akiyama and a pirate. Age sixteen, a pirate's life is all she's ever known. She doesn't think she could really be anything else. It's not that she loves the life, it's that she honestly feels she isn't allowed the option of leaving and living a different life should she so choose to. She doesn't feel others would accept her if they knew she was a pirate. After all, she's done her fair share of killing and pillaging. So she has come to accept her life and deal with it as it goes. Mo is very fierce in combat and a little rough around the edges besides. She's had to put up with all sorts of men and their piggish advances, so she's not very trusting of that gender in general. Except her brother of course. He's not all that nice to her either, but he has never hurt her before, and so she trusts him. Mo is described as easy on the eyes. She's about five foot five. Her skin is soft and pale, her eyes dark as ebony, and her hair is midnight black. She looks very doll-like, and some might think she's fragile. She isn't. She can lift and pull and work with any of the men. A life on a ship doesn't let the palms stay soft or the arms plump. She's got callouses, bigger and stronger fingers, and her arms and legs are taught with muscle. She doesn't like being called weak, but though she doesn't engage against such comments, she knows she has the strength to prove them wrong.
